If Lucky, Perhaps even Soundbites of the New Drum Sets from Roland.
Here’s The Times, At least I, Am going To Focus On Sep, 9th, 2016:
In Order To Write An Honest Alesis Command Kit Review. We need to start saying set-up was not perfectly easy.
There was some difficulties just in how things were labeled, or rather not labeled, and the clarity of directions in general.
Mainly just pictures which could be confusing for people that don’t have experience with setting up a drum set rack before.
But if you have patience and a block of time to set aside for this task you can get through it. It arrives in one big heavy box and the unboxing seems like half the set up time.
It will take a few hours at least if you are new at this kind of thing, so be prepared.
The Contents
Alesis Command Kit basically comes with what you see in the photo plus a pair of drumsticks.
If this is your first electric drum kit, please notice that It does not come with headphones which are necessary for its use.
Personally I think they (Alesis) could have easily tossed in some cheap ones.
Alesis Command Kit’s Pads, Cybal and Triggering
Both the 8″ Kick Pad and 10″ Dual-Zone Snare Pad have Mesh Heads. Mesh Heads gives a similar rebound and feel as an aucoustic drum head which is great.
Also, When playing the kit for a while, the triggering of the Kick Pad seems to be lacking (despite lots of tuning).
Especially when playing faster parts like blastbeats. That being said, if you aren’t going to play metal or faster stuff you should be ok.
Furthermore, Alesis Command Kit includes two 9″ dual-zone rack toms and an 11″ dual-zone floor tom.
All These three are rubber pads which takes some time to get used to, if your spoiled with all mesh like me.
But unlike the Kick Pad, all three toms and the snare triggers and responds really well.
The set also features a Ride Cymbal, Hi hat and a Crash (with choke) of which all comes in 10″ size.
The playing surface (trigger area) is covered with a softer type of rubber which helps keep both bounce and noise down a little bit.
Alesis Command Kit Drum Module
The Alesis Command Kit Drum Module comes with 50 pre-programmed drum sets and over 600 sounds.
You can import your own sounds via USB memory stick. In addition, There’s also a built-in metronome and 60 play-along tracks which makes practicing a lot more fun.
Conclusion
Overall the mounts and rack, cymbals and pads are very sturdy and of professional quality.
Alesis Command Kit includes an excellent mesh snare which is typically an upgrade on more expensive sets.
It’s quite a good kit cosidering its price tag. But, if you’re going to play real fast stuff, considering adding a double bassdrum pedal, Alesis Command Kit might not be for you.

Tightly-woven 10″ dual-zone snare pad for superior feel and playing response

Building on the success of the MDD Machine Direct Drive Pedal, the DW Machine Chain Drive Pedal (aka MCD Pedal) is a pedal that shares many of the features, industrial design and build-quality of its direct drive cousin.
What’s New With DW Machine Chain Drive Pedal?
The most striking difference is an adjustable, sprocket-less camthat incorporates a gear shift-style lever.
DW Machine Chain Drive Pedal lever allows players to quickly shift between the chain-drive cam settings and is easily accessible when mounted to a bass drum.
DW Director of R&D, Rich Sikra, explains,
“We knew this would be the next logical step when we were introducing the MDD pedals. So many of our artists absolutely love their 9000 pedals, but they’re also enamored with the form and function of DW MFG.
Plus, we knew that the direct drive feel wasn’t for everyone. It’s been a really fun and challenging project for the R&D team.”
Other notable features of DW Machine Chain Drive Pedal include a racing-style, all-aluminum, perforated footboard with matching, contoured heel plate, Tri-Pivot Swivel Toe-Clamp, V.E.R.T. Vertical Spring Adjustment, 110 Control Beater and more.
DW Machined Chain Drive Double Pedal
In addition, A DW MFG carrying case is also included and the recently released MDD Hi-Hatcompliments the DW Machine Chain Drive Pedal pedal perfectly.
The MDD Hi-Hats feature a host of features, adjustments and cutting edge technology. From a newly designed One-Touch Clutch down to a machined high-grade aluminum perforated pedal plate.

The New Roland TD-11KV Special Edition, A Perfect Balance Of Price And Features
The TD-11KV Special Edition (TD-11KVSE) is the third and newest member of the top-selling TD-11 V-Drums range.
If you’re serious about your drumming and want an electronic drum kit that can match your technique, read our quick guide on deciding which TD-11 series model is right for your gig.
A Quick Overview Of The TD-11 Range
The Roland TD-11K is the most affordable option and comes with durable rubber pads for the toms, but still includes the V-Drums range’s acclaimed SuperNATURAL technology.
The TD-11KV is the next step, with uprated mesh toms and dedicated crash and ride V-Cymbals. From there, you could jump straight to the TD-25K with its high performance TD-25 sound module and VH-11 hi-hat.
But alternatively, at a price between the TD-11KV and TD-25K, you might decide the new Roland TD-11KVSE offers you the Perfect Balance of Price and Features.
As drummers usually have their favorite brand of drum hardware, V-Drums kitsdo not come with a kick pedal, hi-hat stand or stool.
Rolande TD-11KVSE
What upgrades do I get with the TD-11KV Special Edition?
The TD-11 Drum sound module and drum pads might be familiar, but pull up a stool at the new TD-11KVSE and you’ll notice a fistful of specific improvements over the existing TD-11KV.
First off, instead of the CY-5 Cymbal Pad and FD-8 Pedal, this latest kit includes the VH-11 hi-hat, whose full-motion response, quiet-operation floating design and dual-trigger accuracy.
It feels just like playing an acoustic hat (it also fits on a standard acoustic hi-hat stand).
What else can I expect from the TD-11KVSE?
Another key departure from existing TD-11 models is the MDS-9SC. It’s a larger stand that offers an additional arm for a third V-Cymbal, and that’s handy, because the TD-11KVSEalso ships with the CY-12C: a crash cymbal with a natural swinging motion and dead-on triggering. Both in terms of layout and feel, these uprated features mean the new TD-11KVSEplays more like an acoustic kit than ever – at a price-point that doesn’t rule outworking drummers.
